The base hospital. This was a very impressive building and still in good condition. The facilities here were designed to cope initially with all military related injuries from the air base, also more general healthcare provision for the military families who lived here as well. Many servicemen’s children were born here.

From Joan at 2008-10-17 03:41:55 : It is so sad to see the ghost town of a base I loved so dearly as a young child. I was born here, my brother was born here and my beloved mother died in this hospital. I remember G.A.F.B. How sad it is to see it closed .
